Designed alongside the formidable designer Vaughan Oliver, this deluxe reissue of the seminal Pixies albums; come on pilgrim, and it’s surfer rosa, was commissioned by 4AD to celebrate the 30th anniversary. Custom type was drawn, before being cast in resin with human hair, mimicking the ‘man with the hairy back’ from the original artwork, and then photographed in situ. A clothbound bound vinyl deluxe edition was designed to be interpreted as an object rather than a vessel for music, with multiple inserts and ephemera.

Alongside the live reissue a world tour accompanying would see the Pixies play the two albums live against a backdrop of live visuals, created as a collaboration between Vaughan & myself + Tulipomania, who crafted a stunning physical animation using the cast type amongst other scenes.
